Breathing 101 – Part 3 - Intentional Muscle Relaxation Breathing



Sit somewhere comfortable, either in a chair with a straight back, feet firmly on the ground and in an even position and hands relaxed on the arms of the chair, or lie somewhere on your back with your body straight and only a small pillow under your neck . Close your eyes and relax.

First try to focus your attention on the end of your feet. Inhale slowly and steadily through the nose. As you inhale, visualize the muscle tension at that point gathering and forming a black "coating" of negative energy under the skin.

Exhale slowly and steadily through the mouth. As you exhale, visualize the negative energy being released and expelled from the body through the pores of the skin. Repeated 3 times. Now focus your attention on the soles of your feet. Repeat the same process and move on to the ankles. You keep repeating, slowly moving up the body parts.
